Kimber Target II 9mm Magazine Question

I'm debating on getting a Kimber Target II in 9mm.
My first question is if it takes "standard" 1911 magazines? I have a Springer 1911 in 9mm and was wondering if the mags I have will also work for the Kimber? Also, has anyone seen any reviews specific to the 9mm? Any personal experience and information would be appreciated.

I've done local Action Pistol shoots with my Springer in 9mm. I love it so much I want another 1911 9mm, but don't want to do another Springer...

dont quote me but i believe kimber and springfield are using metalform mags in 9mm. I have a springer and actually really like the wilson .38super mag far better. for me it loads easier& feeds the gun smoother. My next 9mm 1911 is going to be a kimber or a custom build on an STI frame

Long ago, I bulk ordered a bunch of Metalform magazines for my Springer 9mm. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the mags are interchangeable... I'v got a bunch of 9mm mags. I've also got a lot of Metalform 38 Supers. Didn't think about using 38 supers in my 9mm also.

      Thanks 1911.

I had the 9mm Kimber and it was a great pistol. Quite accurate with a good trigger, especially after about 750 rounds. It takes regular 9mm 1911 mags.
The mag that my Kimber came with was TRASH! It got tossed after giving me trouble at a Steel match.
The best mags are the 9mm mags sold by Springfield Armory. They are made by Metalform and are indented at the front to line up the shorter 9mm cartridge better. FYI, I tried a few of the Chip McCormick 38 Super 10 round mags with the 9mm and they worked just fine. From what I hear it is a hit&miss on the 38 Super mags. The ONLY reason for selling my Kimber 9mm was because I was offered a great deal on a BarSto .40.

I am itching for another 1911 in 9mm...
The boss is selling his Kimber Pro Carry HD in 38Super and I could see myself having a BarSto 9mm barrel fitted to it.

Thanks! Looks like I'm good to go with the Metalform mags then.
