laserlyte pistol lasers

i think i spelled it right, anyway they make a universal pistol model that fit on the triger gaurd. has anyone here ever puchased one and what do you think of them. i was thinking of getting one to mount on my ruger mk II and any feed back would be helpful.

There hard to keep dialed in. Harder if pistol is holstered.

I have played with them a couple times. They never stay on target. Sure once off zero they will still hit midsection at ten yards but anyone can do that without trying. Also they feel like any bump to them will damage them or your gun and in fact one put a nice cut/mark on my buddies glock. Then there is aiming a laser. You will spend more time trying to get that stupid thing to stay right on target that you forget to just shot the dang gun. I have watched people with lasers and a strange thing happens with them. People take a long time to fire because they spend so much time trying to keep that little dot on the X ring that they will sit there for 30 seconds aiming before they fire. It really frustrates you not being able to keep it dead center and the truth is as much as you try you will never make that dot stop moving around. Something about seeing the red dot on the paper just makes you strive for a dead center shot which I have yet to do with a laser.

I have spoken with cops, SWAT Entry team and Sniper members, Olympic target shooters, FBI agents and all just hate lasers on pistols. They told me about tests, studies and even real world shootouts where a laser was used and none were positive for the person using a laser. Irons sights always prove to be better.......well maybe not for a red dot optics like an Aimpoint but thats a whole other post.
