Glock 34 has sticker on box 5.5 trigger. Possible?

New Glock 34 has sticker on box 5.5 trigger. Possible or just a mistake labeling from store etc...?

How can I tell the trigger?

5.5# is the "New York 1" style trigger intended for duty use due to liability, department requirements and supposed to help acclimation from DA revolver triggers. Its optional on all Glocks.

The 34 "Tactical Practical" normally comes with a lighter trigger intended mostly for competition use in mind.

My understanding is slightly different, but the same idea overall. The LE Glocks come with the standard 5.5 lb connector, the same connector that comes with all glocks but the 34 and 35. The civilian glock 34 and 35 come with the 3.5 lb connector. Your G34 is probably an LE model, and came with the 5.5 lb connector.

The way to find out is to compare to a different model glock (G17 for example). The 5.5 lb connector in the G17 should give the same trigger pull as a 5.5 lb connector in the G34.

It is easy and cheap to replace the connector in a glock pistol. The factory 3.5 lb connector is not available in the US, but there are a host of aftermarket options.

The NY1 return spring increases the trigger pull significantly more, and the sticker would say "NY1" on it, not 5.5 lb.

Davidoff is correct - LE G34s and G35s come with the standard (unmarked) connector, and the standard trigger and trigger spring. Civilian versions come with the connector marked with a "-", now referred to as the 4.5# connector. This is the same as the "3.5# connector," but supposedly closer to the truth on actual trigger pull. Look at the connector. No "-" means 5.5#. A "+" means 8.5#.

Thanks for the INFO. I thought it may be a LE thing. It also has fixed sights are the adjustables better or are their issues?

Connectors (3.5, 5 and 8lb) and New York triggers are 2 different things. The New York trigger is a compression reset spring that comes in either 8lb or 12lb. The stock tension reset spring is 5lbs.

I have the (-) connector in my G23. It's paired with the NY1 spring. This gives it about a 6# pull or so, but the advantage is that the reset is very, very crisp. You can use the (+) connector with a NY1 spring, but from what I understand, don't use it with the NY2 spring.

I've never felt the need for adjustable sights. Maybe if I was shooting bullseye at 50 yds+, but otherwise, scrap the stock sights and get three dots (night, fiber optic, TFO, whatever). The "goalpost" stock rear makes no sense to my eyes at all.

The G34 LEO model also comes with the standard slide release lever rather than the extended lever.

It is a LE pistol. I worked for a LE Glock distributor. All of the 34s that came through our doors had to be configured with the standard connector and stock slide catch. The "Blue" label on the box was marked 5.5lbs. I didnt ask why and they (Glock, Inc.) didnt say. Hope this helps.
