I went to Bud's today to check out some prices, and.... no more Glocks! Anyone else see this? Did they really discontinue them? I could have sworn they had dozens of models last week.

Minimum Advertised Price. The reseller agrees to not advertise a price below a certain level specified by the manufacturer. It's where you get all those "Price too low to see here!" advertisements.I've never seen an American flag burned at a gun show.Comment

Minimum Advertised Price.
To maintain brand image, manufacturers often set limits on how low retailers can advertise products. It wouldn't look good if one store continually advertised Glocks for $99, for example. Luxury car makers can be VERY stringent with MAP. If you constantly saw BMW's on sale for 30% off, you would start to think they were junk.sigpic

Weird. Bud's has good deal, but I didn't think they were significantly lower than elsewhere. Maybe I am wrong and they did totally dip below MAP.What do you mean my birth certificate expired?Comment

want's to buy a G26 but they didn't have any price. I called but no one picked up.Comment

Yep, support your local gun shop and the great state of CA (haha). Most of the time, the shop will meet or beat the price. If not, they'll still get you for the transfer fee. So in the end, everyone still kinda wins
And they're not showing prices because of MAP, but if you have an account, you click on it, and they'll send you the price to your email. Or just give them a call.Comment

Did you actually try this and have it work for you today? Last week I was able to search for Glocks and find them even without logging in. The price was shown once I logged in and they sent me an email - $495 for a G19, I think.Yep, support your local gun shop and the great state of CA (haha). Today I can't find them even after logging in.Comment
