.45 +P and USP?

I'm not too familiar with +P ammo. If I understand correctly, it's loaded a bit hotter than normal ammo, but is this good to go in my full size USP?

Have you looked in your manual? it will tell you there.
Yes. Your USP (and most new firearms) can handle +p ammo. Infact HK will guarantee thier USP9 with +P+ ammo.

The USP .45 is also rated to shoot .45 Super
