That's not tech. a high cap mag.

8 rounds in a single stack is as good as ot gets. Any more and it will stick out.

    Now a double stack 1911.....

I can personally recommend Novak (aka Act-Mag) mags, but there is also Chip McCormick, Kimber, Mec-Gar and Wilson Combat. They may be other good ones but those always get mentioned.
www.topgunsupply.com had the best prices when I last looked.

I have had better luck with CMCs than Wilson's. I switched to only CMC several years ago and have not had a single mag related problem since.

Sure it is - for a 1911! I was just about to congratulate Trevork for using the term correctly.

              It's not a California-large-capacity-magazine until it passes 10.

I've used CMC mags in my Springfield for over ten years, never had a problem. This includes four years of regular ipsc/idpa matches, a PC 832 course and a CCW course.

I just dont want the gun to look like this

i'm set on getting a norinco 1911 in .45 and they do make a 10 shot model but i hear the mag followers stick and they are not compatabul with any other mag. and if you order more factory mags they are about $40

i just think 7 shots in an auto doesent feel like enough.
does anyone have a photo of a 10 shot mag in a single stack .45?
also does anyone know anything about the USA magazine company mags?

Just stick to 8 round mags and you'll be happy. If you really feel the need for a 10 round mag, get one CMC and give it a go.

Same follower as all their 1911 mags.

Anything over an 8rd mag will stick out.. I say go wit Mec Gar or Act Mag, they're almost the same but Act Mag uses a metal follower opposed to plastic follower int he Mec Gar, either way great mags.

They have the follower go all the way into the mag so it doesn't tilt and has less chance of FTFeed. If you get a 10 round like CMC it will stick out about 1-1/2 inch past the frame so 8rd is the best you'll get to keep is as flush as possible.

When I read the OP's question, Tripp's 10 rd 9mm mags came to mind...
