    Derringers

School me on derringers. Small, zero sight radius. What should I know and why.

    Thanks.
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Some idiots are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

List on the Cobras is about $110 I think. My FFL ordered mine for $95 I think before tax and DROS.

So, for anyone who has one; what's it like to shoot a derringer? How's the recoil?
Just thinking about the novelty factor.

A .45 Colt will not chamber a .410 shotgun shell. The chamber is too short. The illegal chambering is .410/.45 as a .45 Colt cartridge will fit a .410 chamber.

I saw that one AND remember it. It was just not in the cards (or my wallet) at the time.

However, American Derringer is supposed to me making by request, or were planning on going into regular full production, a completely accurate reproduction of the Semmerling LM-4 . It was to be made with the exacting standards with which the original was made - magnufluxing, zyglo, non-destructive testing of all the parts, hand honing, tempered in a slave's blood, a blessing by a priest....

It is unlikely the AD version will ever make it to CA - if like the original LM-4, it will have no safety, no slide-lock, no decocker, no loaded chamber indicator, no mag disconnect, no other yada-yada doodads, etc.

                        .
