When it comes to 98% blued guns , which barrel length would be the most popular ( or wanted) ? 2 1/2 , 4 or 6?

Imho, 2.5's are the most rare, 6'' is the most common. I have a 4" and 6" and prefer the 4".

It's been a couple years since I bought one, my 4", I think it was around $1200.

          ...$900 before DROS and tax.

The 2.5 and 8" are the rarest and I see the highest prices for the 2.5' models. 4" and 6" models are the most common.

Mine is a 6" in SS, from 1986, complete with boxes and papers, I wonder what the value is ?

I think prices on Pythons like everything else has softened up a bit, at $1500 a 6" python is going to sit around for a long time. At $1,200 it might take a few weeks and anything less than that should make one move a little faster.

That's a little high nowadays. $1200-1600 is more common even for a 98-100% gun. And having the box and docs makes a difference. As well as being in original factory condition; so OP, if you may think twice about selling those grips if they are the original ones on your 2 1/2".

There have been several in the For Sale forums here on Calguns in the last few weeks alone. Some real nice examples and versions. Average prices seemed to hover around $1400 to $1600 . A couple were in the $1800 range but were obscure, rarer models.

I would have gladly bought them had I not had my mind and wallet on other things right now.

A few weeks back I witnessed an 8" blue Python in 98%+ condition sell for $1800.
