my house got broken into today

they bended the front gate door to my house and kick in the wooden door, they tried to open my rifle safe, couldn't open it... stole some ammo .44mag., .380acp., 9mm, some of my glock aftermarket barrel, small safe, and some of ar15 parts including cheap end scope.

what a day... any recommendation on alarm?

Not sure which alarm system to get.

But get a Pitbull, German Shepard, Doberman, or Rottweiler. Or all 4 and really hold down the fort...

Did they only target the safe and firearm accessories? Was anything else stolen? Sounds like they knew what they were after.

Have a trusted friend hold onto your guns except your go to pistol or shotgun.

what have the police said? ask them to look over your house and see what you can do to improve home secureity, make sure you have a camera recording your gun safe so you can get there faces on video

and i would reccomend a rotweiler or a german sheperd, more than one would be better

in the meen time i second the motion that you have at least one gun loaded and near by

If they don't sit and watch you leave.

Buddy at work got robbed recently. He works third shift. His wife was at work. He came home, got in a nap and then got up and went to an appointment. Was gone about 20 minutes. 1000 not the middle of the night. They got some jewelry and grabbed his .357 that he got from his Dad.
