    Need your expertise...

    Hello everyone...
first post so please take it easy...

In 1989, family moved here to California... father brought his handguns...
In 1992, father got stationed out of country... left handguns with my aunt (I was too young at the time to keep them)...

Here is the situation, father (still out of the country) remembered his "toys" and called me a few months ago and wanted me to have the handguns (a revolver- .38 special and a Astra 22lr)...

My question is... how do I go about obtaining these legally?

Thanks in advance for all your knowledge!

Welcome! This site has a wealth of knowledge which I think is crucial in navigating californias ever changing and retarded gun laws. Have fun with your new toys!

Acquired from : put your dads name (ie John Smith)

How possession was obtained: Gift from father

And you can register all the handguns with only one $19 fee. It's not $19 per handgun..!

          Have fun.

Welcome to the site, and that's a lovely gun there.

Shame we have to go through this "registration" nonsense at all.
