    Kimber Custom II range report

Took out my newly acquired Kimber this morning purely for function testing and break in. I ran approximately 160 rds of 230gr LRN on top of 5.1gr of W231 using mixed head stamped brass crimped between .469-.471 and CCI 300 primers, and Kim Pro TacMag's. They all went bang without a hiccup. I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!

So much for the 500 round brake in, all three of mine function perfect with my reloads and anything else I shoot out of them. Glade your having fun.

I was amazed at how smooth it was also, Barely any recoil for a mid range 230gr load. Felt like my Glock 19.

C'mon Jak Next range session. I was just shooting away today, getting a feel for the gun.

Maybe we are just lucky because a lot of people complain about malfunctions with new kimbers but I've shot 600+ rounds out of my kimber tactical custom without a single malfunction.

Shot another 75rds of my reloads yesterday morning without an issue and this thing is getting smoother. Love the way the 1911 shoots. The Ed Brown magwell I added makes a huge difference for quick mag changes also, Definitely a plus.

Beautiful gun, all you need to do is ditch the FLGR and get a GI plug and rod and you're good to go!

I could not agree more. The FLGR does nothing for the 1911. I am not sure why they sell them at all. I love the option of loading and unloading the gun one handed if needed. No-go with FLGR.
