Best grips I've ever found for making even a gun without a checkered front strap grippy are the VZ Operators. Their "desert sand" color really makes a black gun pop.

Here they are pictured on a Smith and Wesson I used to have. Kimber uses a better finish than this SW had, so they would really set off your gun.
