If you just want an action job, then dry firing the durned thing several thousand times will accomplish it. It will also be good for you. All a S&W action job is is the acceleration of wear and burnishing of parts.

You should try one of my J frames

But if you really want work done I would go with Tanaka. he builds world class PPC revolvers.

If you're n the L.A. area, and want a simple DA trigger job, buy a Wolff reduced power (power rib) spring kit, and bring it by my place. I'll put it on for you and polish up wht needs to be done while you watch- I work for ammo, tools, whatever. I've worked on a good 2-3 dozen smiths already, takes me about 20 minutes to do a good job

I've yet to have any sort of light-strike problems with the Wolff spring kits. If you start reducing tension through the screw on the front strap, that's when you can start to have light strikes.

You can also give the mainspring a slight bend near the top and achieve the same effect.

The Wolff power rib mainsrping doesn't just make it lighter, it alters the feel and stacking during the trigger pull. The OEM spring gets slightly heavier before letoff- the PR one has almost exactly the same pull force through the entire pull range.

Another praise to Randy Lee @ Apex Tactical. I've shot some of his smithies 627 and they almost made me want a Revolver

Even a XD-40 plastic gun he had built up was to die for. A polymer gun with "soul" if you will.

Great work and excellent shooter as well.

Randy Lee is truly exceptional....and BUSY.

Another vote for Randy Lee. I got my 627 back 4 months ago from him w/ his trigger work and I put about 4000 rounds without any problem.

                    +1 for Randy Lee

Hell of a nice guy, and has done some amazing things with wheel guns.
