22 short in 22 lr

[fonzy]

I have a Colt. New frontier scout in 22lr. I bought it used so it never came with the 22 mag cylinder. Anyhow can I shoot 22 short in the 22 lr cylinder that came with it. Someone gave me 10 boxes of the stuff.

22 s,l,lr is fine in any .22long rifle chambered manually operated firearm

But you will be finding a lot of crud building up in the cylinder.
