Old School 624

So, many years of searching, having let one slip through my fingers last year, I finally found one - S&W 624 no dash and the box has that nice red C indicating it is one of the good ones and the cylinder is sound.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a Lew Horton and in the pictures you can see it comes with the original combat grips. I have an email out to LH for verification.

This gun came in the original box, never fired - not even factory proofed!

Paperwork, cleaning kit including the tiny little cleaning rod - everything.

Totally clean, not a mark on it, not a scratch or a ding. This was in someone's collection. The balance of that collection is in the City Arms store in Concord. All I wanted was this one.





For those of you that like the old stuff, there's a stainless J frame .38spl CHP engraved fixed sight piece in the same condition - unfired BNIB.

They also have an adjustable sight stainless version of the same revolver.

They have a 629-3 Classic Hunter 6" there as well as a P&R 57 w10" barrel and a 29-3 with a pinned 14" barrel that has the 4 position front sight.

I hope you like it, I know I do. It was worth the wait.

Good Deal, I have one also with the Box and red "C". What did you have to give for it? I have looked and looked and the best I can understand mine is not a LH.

Nice score on a powerful defense revolver. I love .44 special revolvers and generally shoot that cartridge out of my Model 29's anyway for self defense and range use. The blazer 44 special is pretty decent range ammo.

Sweet.... about the only thing I'd prefer in that niche to my own three inch 629 is an LH 624.

I'll be damned I do have a LH. Very cool, the collector I bought it from claimed he researched it and it wasn't, LH says it is.

Mine is June 1985 also, ALUxxxx.
