Does anyone know of a way to improve the trigger (both trigger pull and how gritty it is) on the Polish P64? I've tried polishing everything I could get to, and there's some improvement, but not enough to call that trigger decent.

The DA pull on the Polish P-64 is 24.5LBS. That 25 and a half pounds, DA my friend. However with a WOLFF 18LB hammer spring, DA pull is down to about 11LBS, with SA trigger pull a light 3.5-4LBS. The WOLFF spring kit from their shop in Eastern Pennsylvania is around $10. A GOOD internal cleaning of old cosmaline and preservative oils also may be necessary. Remember this gun is Milsurp.

Got my 17# and 18# hammer springs today (and while I was at it, I ordered the hammer springs for FEG PA-63 and recoil spring pack my Spanish Venus 1908 Vest Pocket knockoff, the latter could use a stiffer recoil spring). Now, the main question is whether to change it right away, or wait until the weekend? Decisions decisions...

Holy mother of guacamole, that's insane. Why do people ask about carrying these pistols for CCW? Have they never shot another pistol?

Changed the hammer spring to the 17# one (we'll see if I get any light primer strikes). The trigger pull is definitely lighter. The SA trigger pull is around where my 3.5# Glock trigger is at, although with more creep and not as clear reset. The DA is still gritty, although lighter. Yes stock DA trigger pull on the Polish P-64 is 24.5lbs. but remember this is/was a Military handgun. A real good cleaning and a 18lb hammer spring puts the trigger pull in an acceptable range, but be aware a 17lb hammer spring may result in a very-very light SA pull and you risk doing a double tap when firing DA.
Picked up a LCP .380ACP a few days ago. VERY impressive pocket carry gun.
