I have both, a Glock and a XD. I love both. I think they are both ugly, with the XD just winning a small margin on looks.

See, I'm a designer by training. I find that my biggest "dislike" is when form doesn't follow function.
To me Glocks and XD's are very much focused on function, to the point of austerity. To me, the XD in particular is almost a photo negative of my hand.
That's the way it feels anyways, and it just resonates with me.
I'm also not big into bling, so I appreciate the all black scheme. I can't say that I won't bring some touches of color into the mix like a duracoated extended slide release, etc. when my Tactical is finally home with me, but I certainly don't want a nickel-plated or "desert tac" type finish.
More to the point, though, I just really like the way they photograph, especially in those black background ad's.
Just me, though.

If you want sexy gun advertisement, it's Kahr's "Thin is Sexy" series. The gun is secondary in those ads.
