Glock conversion .22lr

Does anyone here own a glock conversion .22lr from Advantage Arms? I want to get something for plinking. Either the glock conversion or the walther p22. Which one is better? thanks That would be a christmas present to myself.

Ive got the AA LE kit for my G17 and its a pretty fun little kit. Before my Gen3 frame broke and they replaced it with a Gen4 the kit worked pretty flawlessly with CCI minimags. The Gen4 frame seems to be a bit tighter though, so atm Im getting some FTFs and FTEs (maybe one every other mag or so).

Its really a fun piece, but if _I_ had to make the choice between a P22 and the conv kit, I'd go for the P22, since thats one nice little plinker

Hmm, come to think of it, neither one is very expensive, so I'd probably buy both :P

I had a AA conversion for my Glock 19. It was fun but I could not find a lower to make a dedicated 22cal pistol so I sold it off and bought a Ruger 22/45 with the money. If I were to do it today I would consider the new Sig Mosquito.

Get the P22

i rented the p22 at the Firing Line a few times. it is a nice litto gun But it is very small for my hand. I heard there are a few problems with the Mosquito out there. I was thinking about the P22 but it costs a little bit more than the conversion. Turner's has it for 259, after tax and all the fee,, around $340. While i can get the coversion for my glock for only $250 comes with three magazines.

I have an AA .22 kit for my G34. I broke it in with Rem Golden Bullets and now just shoot Win Dynapoints without any problems. I like the .22 kit because it gets me cheap trigger time on the Glock.

I can highly recommend the Advantage Arms Glock .22 cal coversion.

I have the LE model and it fits on the G17, G22 and C31. Takes about 30 seconds to change from full caliber to sub-caliber.

Unlike a second, and different .22 handgun, this fits my gear thus allowing me to utilize my 'leather' and all the techniques I would normally use.

Since I'm using the same frame with the same sights, grip and trigger pull I am constantly reinforcing those with my full caliber firearm.

The only difference between shooting the two is reduce recoil of the sub-caliber and that's simply not an issue. Recoil control techniques are similar regardless of caliber. Similar, not exactly the same.

Just got the AA .22LR conversion kit for my g19 last week. Already have about 500rds through it already.

It's a good deal, especially for the reasons that Tom L has already outlined.

Additionally, I have found it works great for beginning shooters. Full-sized frame shooting sub-calibre rounds w/ minimal recoil. Good way to teach shooting fundamentals then transition to the 9mm without having to "learn" a new gun.

I'd look around on GunBroker and GunsAmerica to see if you can get one that has been lightly used, might be able to score a good deal.
