    DROS question

I DROSed a handgun three days ago and will pick it up seven days from now. I have another on layaway and want to pay for it and DROS it the same day as I get the first, which will be Oct. 30, in the same month as I DROSed the first.

Can I do this, or do I have to wait until November, or for 30 days days after the first was DROSed to DROS the second handgun? Both were consignment guns, if that makes any difference. Not a crisis, just would save me a 30-mile round trip to do the two operations on the same day.

30 days between submitting DROS to DOJ is the rule.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

From a dealer the rule is 30 days. PPT's are exempt from the one in 30 rule.

Since both are consignment guns he can DROS the next one right away.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Ah - missed that, thanks. PPT is exempt from 1-in-30, unless by bad luck one lives in LA: LA has its own 1-in-30 law.

This is in OC, so I assume I can pick up the one pistol, and then also DROS the revolver. I'll try it and report; no great tragedy if I have to make one more trip to Orange. (Except it means I'll probably spend more money on different guns I find when over there.....).

Enjoy. I've bought 3 guns PPT in one month before.
