    Xd with manuel safety

Hi everyone. i was thinking about purchasing an XD 45 and noticed most of them even the 40s and 9mm dont have the manuel external safety. Are they not common or Springfield does not make them anymore?

here are some videos that show XD with the safety. not my videos fyi.

XD45 was the only one made with a thumb safety (listed as 9661) and it's not CA approved. Why the need for the extra safety?

FYI extra saftey was to compete with the baretta for military testing.
