    Need some advice

Looking for another 9mm in the $500-600 range to keep my P226 company and I've narrowed it down to the following: Glock 34, XD Tactical, CZ 75 SA, and Beretta 92FS. Intended use will be range duty with the potential for use in future IDPA style competition.

I have minor gripes about all of these guns - sights on the Glock, trigger on the XD, difficulty in racking the slide on the CZ, and the ease of engaging the safety while racking the slide on the Beretta. I don't have any experience shooting the CZ, but I shot a G17 a couple years ago that was spot on, the 92FS was the first handgun I ever shot, and a buddy of mine has an XD Compact in .45 that shot well but I didn't much care for the trigger.

I'm looking for any personal insights you guys might have about these guns, potential problems, relative cost and expense to remedy some of the issues I have with them, etc. Thanks!

Glock G34 and install new sights. The Glocks have a consistant trigger pull unlike the DA/SA guns. There isn't a whole lot to modify on a Glock and if you do wish to upgrade. its fairly inexpensive. Just about every gun shop has a certified Glock armorer. Also, getting accessories are all over the place.

Well, the easiest of your gripes to fix is the sights. Plenty of aftermarket or stock options are available for Glocks.

You have to practice your trigger pull anyways, so go with the XD IMO.

I ran the XD9 tac. Sent it to Springer Precision for trigger and sights. Man what a shooter that thing was! Absolutely loved WWB ammo. Great gun from my experience.

Thanks for the input guys. Any recommendations on a good set of sights for the G34?
