i have to send my taurus 627 tracker back to taurus for repair. i was wondering if i can just send it ups and get it back the same way or do i have to pay a ffl for one or both transactions?

You can use UPS or Fed Ex but it has to be overnight. And you have to notify them them that you're shipping a firearm

I believe they send it directly back to you. I'm sure someone else can confirm.

Yes, they send it back to you but you must be there to sign for it or they will make you go pick it up at thier hub (UPS or FEDX).

Only time they can't send it back is if the serial number changes...then it has to go to FFL to be re-DROSed...Want to hear something messed up? I've had customers send their non-roster guns back to the manufacturer to fix...manufacturer says they have to replace frame...therefore new serial number...and since it's a non-roster gun...you don't get it back (unless you're exempt). They won't even send back original equipement.

You are still going to spend a lot to ship it. See if Taurus can help (Sig has a good deal on two way shipping for instance). If it is under warranty, Taurus should pay the freight anyway.

you might want to get your customers in contact with CGF. that would be a good plaintiff to add to the Pena lawsuit, if they can amend that suit, or bring in a second suit with them.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
