I have the EFK barrel. I bought it a few years back from the Gun show here in town... It works well. I haven't had a problem with it.

I had an EFK conversion barrel, but had some issues. My 40 went from a super reliable gun, to a 9mm that had some "issues". I had some failure to ejects, and my slide didn't lock back after the final round. I also had a couple failure to feeds. EFK said that there were slight differences in each XD that may have been the problem.

With my research, a different recoil spring may have made the difference.

Just my opinion. For me, 40 vs 9 isn't that huge of a difference in ammo prices. I would rather spend the $130 toward ammo, or even a dedicated 9mm.

          Good luck!
