Are there any major deal breaking faults with the SA Loaded Long-slide 1911? I just got a chance to try one of these out and I am now trying to decide between it and a Para Ordinance P1445 limited for my next gun, both are about the same price so I am just wondering if there is anything particular to the Springfield I should know.

Question about the SA Loaded Longslide

My Springfield long-slide had a minor problem with extracting, but was easily fixed by adjusting the tension. Other than that, it has been fine.
My Para is a whole other story; it would be hard to talk me into buying another one (very pricey magazines, ongoing FTF and FTE challenges).Last edited by Woodworker2; 10-13-2010, 6:05 PM.sigpic Same boy, better toysComment

After some more research on the Para Ordinance I think Ill be going with the SA Longslide, general consensus is the extraction scheme in the Para's is really bad, giving them a reputation for failures. Besides, in my opinion the Longslide is a better looking gun.Yes, I am an electrical engineer.
No, I will not fix your computer.Comment
