    Thoughts on FNP-9?

I was going through my handgun "wishlist" and noticed I included an FNP-9 in there without any research or any notes why (though I doubt I need any reasons why haha)

I'm curious, anyone here own one or have any thoughts regarding one?

I own one. I consider it to be a fantastic bargain, it's a very high-quality pistol and the price is quite reasonable. In my experience the FNP barrels are as good as some other companies' match grade barrels, they are stainless steel and hammer forged on the same equipment as the sub-MOA FN SPR sniper rifles. Earlier examples had a problem with the fire control group cracking, all those are before mid-2007 if I recall. They make a fine range/HD pistol, the recoil is very moderate and they come with two different backstrap configurations to better fit different grips. They used to be available with or without a manual safety, I think the model with the manual safety was discontinued.

I've fired one and liked the feel, reliability and accuracy.

I think Bud's Gun Shop has them for around $500 with three 10 round magazines, I've seen them cheaper at other places online but I'm not sure what the current pricing is. Generally, the FDE color goes for a little less.

I'm starting to like the FDE one, but I don't think it's on the roster is it?
