I have an SA EMP in 9mm that has had a interesting issue twice now in about 500 rounds.
The issue seems to be that when feeding a round, the next round in the magazine slides forward with the round that is feeding. When the slide returns to battery, it "pinches" the nose of the round against the frame right where the feed ramp meets it.
This puts a nice dent and creates a very sharp edge that will cause that round to fail to feed.
This has happened twice on different ammo.
I have not tracked the mags, so I do not know if the same mag is the issue. I will start that now.
This was the gun in the nightstand, now I'll keep the Kimber in the nightstand until this is resolved...
Any thoughts?
