Ammo Question / So Cal OC Area

I was wondering where everyone got their 45acp from? Any places with good deals? I have been looking online and saw at a place called TandA Armory, they sell for $28, anyone know anywhere else for range ammo, as well also selling HD rounds?

I generally get mine online. There was a post here a couple weeks ago with a list of a number of vendors.

No real deals (or availability locally in south OC) so I get mine online with Cabellas. Usually during the free or $5.00 shipping. When you also figure no tax, it's cheaper than Walmart and you can order in bulk

Turners has them on sale from time to time and the last time I got the PMC 230g FMJ for $18.99 / 50 rds.
Walmart have good deal as well, but not all locations sell ammo and even the ones that do sell ammo, the 45 ACP are not always in stock.

Nachez Shooters Supplies also have specials from time to time, but the shipping charge is going to get you when you buy ammo from out of state.

Some one would tell you to start reloading, but that is not for everyone

It’s been a few years but I used to buy range ammo at a good price from the firing line indoor range in Huntington Beach. They sell Cal Ammo reloads, but it’s been so long since I’ve bought from them (I moved) I can’t quote a current price. It may be worth a call if you’re near one of their locations.

+1 on Walmart. I buy pretty much all my .45 range ammo there. Winchester 100rd boxes are $33, UMC 250rd boxes are $85, and Federal 50rd boxes are $17. Best deal out there I've found!

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

Did you check the prices at the indoor range off of the 5 and Crown Valley? I think it's called "On target" or something or other...

I get mine from Cabela's, but from what I hear mail order is going to be cut off to us CA residents in February?...

If you're in the L.A. Area, shoot me a pm. I have a friend who's a licensed reloader that I get my .45acp from. He charges $15x50 rounds, but the only catch is that he only sells in bulk minimum orders of 500 rounds. $150x500 rounds. Cheapest around, and again, he is licensed.

You can get PMC .45 acp for 17.95/50 at Palmetto.

Just don't buy it all! That's my favorite ammo depot

                          Walmart usually has decent prices.

Turners (one in Norwalk, another in Tustin/Orange) has sales every now and then.

Otherwise, I randomly pickup ammo where it's on sale or cheap - CheaperThanDirt.com is one place... there's a lot of other online places too.
