Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Uplula is currently on sale at Midway for $24.99. Of course, you need to include postage.BitterOldMan

I've never tried the UpLuLa but it looks like you have to put it against your hip or a table to use it. I've been using HKS mag loaders for years and find they work great for me.

The HKS Mag Loader is great if you want to use it for a specific type of magazine but it feels a little flimsy. The Uplula is best used if the bottom of the magazine is set on a table and tilted slightly back.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. I dunno about the quality of the HKS ones today but I've had mine for over 15 years without any issues. True, you can't use one designed for single stack mags and use it with double stack but there is some overlap. I use my doublestack one for Sig, Beretta, CZ mags without issue. I use my single stack one for Sig P220, 239, and 1911 mags without issue.
Guess it doesn't matter whether someone chooses HKS or UpLuLa, I think either is gonna be better than using nothing but fingers!Comment

people tell me to suck it up and use my thumbs... they'll toughen up... I tell them "why bother? i've already got the uplula."
It's SUCH a world of difference... i've got a few mags that are SUPER tight on the 10th rd, and the UpLula takes care of it for me.
Is it kinda pricey? Yes.... ONCE. it'll probably last you your entire life, so long as you don't lose it/get it stolen.
HKS loaders are also nice for free-handed use, while the Lula needs a firm surface (table, bench, knee, ammo can etc...). The "UP" aspect (universal pistol) was the final decider for me.Originally posted by greasemonkey1911's instill fairy dust in the bullets, making them more deadly.Comment
