They bought Auto Ordnance a while ago - the gun is listed under Kahr as Auto Ordnance on "the list" also

Good pickup - I examined one of these closely a few months ago and it is a reaaaly nice 1911. Nice touch on the minimal rollmark and other details (hammer, safety, etc).

It does have a series 80 firing pin block.

Kahr retooled the production line completely after they took over Auto Ordnance. There was a nice review in the Rifleman mag a while back.

Ya the trigger is a bit heavy, but i usually change those within 6 months anyway. I wonder if Apex has an aek for it yet. lol

Where'd you order this from?

I'm a little confused on model numbers because auto-ordnance's site only lists "1911PKZSE"/"1911PKZSEW", but the CA legal model is supposedly "Auto Ordnance 1911 A-1 PKZA".
