Well, I picked up my new Kimber Stainless Target II in 9mm, today. Took it home and performed a routine field strip and cleaned it up. I did not particularly care for the plastic MSH. So, I removed it and added an Ed Brown Maxi-Well MSH. I also replaced the factory grips with a set of Esmeralda grips.
Took it to the range without missing a beat. Shooting from 10 yards, the Kimber shot dead on, right out of the box. This gun is very accurate, to say the least. Shot 200 rounds of 9mm ammo, which was comprised of 115 gr. FMJ Blazer Brass, 115 gr. FMJ Federal, and 125 gr. FMJ Miwall. She ran all 200 rounds without any issues.
The 9 round factory magazine and the 3 Metalform magazines all worked flawlessly. It was an excellent first session with my new gun. This Kimber simply feels right at home in my hands. For me it has the perfect weight and balance. I am quite pleased with this purchase.
Next on the list is a Springfield EMP in 9mm.
