i got failures for the first 50 rounds with umc. switched to winchester white box and only got 1 jam in the next 100. ran flawlessly after that. try a hotter ammo to break it in and be sure to CLEAN. mine felt gritty until i cleaned it.The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists. -HemingwayComment

Mine has been flawless - no failures of any kind. And although I usually detail strip all my new guns, this one I left alone because the grease looked to be clean and I planned on it being my "beater" gun.
What exactly happens - does the round strip from the magazine but jam on the feed ramp? Does it fail to strip from the magazine? Only partially go into battery?Comment

Sig recommends 500 rounds to break in for SP 2022 model http://lundestudio.com/SigProFAQ/X/2.htmll,
usually SP 2022 likes hotter loads,
So you might have a ETE or FTF on PMC 115gr.
If you have a same problem after your 500 rounds
contact Mark Hanson at the customer service

I'm wondering if the "new" production models of the 2022 are going to have this annoying break-in period. I alnost bought this pistol last Sat., but ultimately went for the CZ P01 brcause of the good price point, excellent ergonomics, and most importantly, it's readiness to hit paper right out of the box.
That said, I would still be interested in getting a Sig polymer pistol at a reasonable price and reliability.Comment

Mine did not have the problem, so I really think he either didn't get a "good" one, or he didn't clean and lube his gun before using. The packing grease is not meant for shooting, just corrosion protection.Comment
