    S&W Sigma tactical light?

Now that I've got a real gun (SIG P226R), I am looking for a tac-light for my S&W Sigma SW40VE so I can keep it for nightstand/home defense.

The d@mn rail isn't picatinny and I've been having trouble finding affordable tac-lights for the SW40VE that don't require a rail adapter.

Anybody know of any S&W Sigma tac-lights that don't require a rail adapter?

Why not get a light for your P226R? It's cheaper than getting a light AND an adapter for your Sigma.

        I don't want a light on my SIG P226R.

Nobody makes a Sigma railed tac-light? I really don't want to resort to taking up more space on the SW... so far, finding Sigma stuff without adapters is a PITA. I know they discontinued the Streamlight M-4, which was made for the SW rail.

It was a nice, affordable first gun, but the unusual rail is beginning to bother me

Why not? The light covers that ugly rail.

I'm kind of confused on this one too. You call the Sig a "real" gun which seems to suggest that you like it more than your Sigma, and yet you want the Sigma in your nightstand? Oh well. To each their own I guess.
What do you mean my birth certificate expired?

It might sound strange, but I'd like to keep my SIG (it was almost $1000) in a safer location so it doesn't get stolen when I'm out of the house (the S&W was about $400). the SIG will only come out for the range, cleaning, oiling... or the zombiepocalypse

It's not strange. Everyone has their "safe queens". However, for me I want to keep the gun I shoot the best in my nightstand. For me that is my $445 Glock 17 and not my $900 P229, but if it was I would have no problem with it.

How about take your Sig out of the safe at night or whenever you're home, then put it back in the safe when you go out?

Either way, I'd still like a light for my SW40VE...

So far I've found one guy who, it looks like, makes them himself from aluminum. Reasonable price, but there has to be more options. My gal is also looking for a laser sight for her SW9VE (same funky rail), without needing an adapter.

Yeah, I saw that a while back too. I didn't want to go that route, it has a rail adapter.

Oh well, I just ordered it... for $40 shipped, it's a decent deal

streamlight m4, made to fit sigma rail. they also made some lights to fit the retarded usp rail. it may be discontinued, but should still be available somewhere...

You're right it is discontinued, and I've only found them for more than I'd like to pay.

Oh well, I guess this $40 cheapy with an adapter will have to do...
