AA Glock 22LR Conversion, what ammo?

I picked up the Advantage Arms 22LR conversion for my Glock 23 a while ago but haven't been that successful in finding reliable ammo.

I get FTEs all the time.

Anyone using this conversion kit successfully? If so, with what ammo?

your kit should come with a list of what ammo to use for the AA kit. I think they recommend Remington Golden bullet and CCI minimag

Golden bullets run 100% in mine. No issues until it's gets really dirty

Lol no doubt, not only do they FTE, I had to pry them out of the chamber.

I've also tried the Remmington thunderbolts (or something like that) and one other type I don't recall atm.

I'll give the Goldens and CCI both a try next time I go out.

rem goldens and cci mini mags...

when it gets dirty.. a quick fix is to load the mag... and then take some breakfree and run a bead along the top round of the mag... immediately chamber and fire...gun will usually run pretty well for a couple of hundred more rounds...sometimes you have to do it a couple three times...

I hear that to get better feeding and less FTE you should use hotter hi-veloc .22 rounds.. I have a conv kit on my 1911 and I have the same probs but I used to some old (forget manu name) bobcat type and they work ok. Problem I have is the conversion fit to the 1911 frame has a lot of play and I often get some powder blowback that hits me in the face so I really don't use mine all to often on my 1911. Mine is a no name one that I bought used for $200

I shoot Golden and Mini Mags, the kit doesn't like anything else. I save all my other ammo for my .22 rifle.

They recommend the Remington Golden Bullets and that's what I use. They work perfect!

Remington Golden Bullets is recommeded by factory and is what I use....but not 100% reliable either. Usually first 50 rounds goes smooth then I experience intermittent failures..usually to extract. Sent it back to Advantage..no real improvement on return. They clearly need to do some design improvements on the kit.

Good comments, you've all convinced me to not get an AA kit and to just pick up a Ruger.
