I've been a Sig P226 .40s&w owner for the past 12+ years... LOVE it. I just DROS'd a Sig P220 Equinox last Sat, picking up next Wed.

I just came across a NIB Sig P229 .40s&w (older non-railed) for $650, & I'm tempted to get too!!! What do I do? Is $650 a good deal?

There's also a HK USP Compact .40s&w for $650 that I'm interested in.

What do I do? Is this what you guys called a Sig-ness?

The P229 sounds good at $650 if it is really NIB. Does it have night sights?

$650 is a pretty good deal for this. Ever had a pistol with a DAK trigger? If the P229 is the DAK version it can take some getting used to.

If you have everything else in order with your finances, I don't see a reason why not to jump on a good deal.

When I had the Sig-ness I bought 3 Sigs in 3 months.

$650 sounds pretty good for a NIB.

Yes, you are infected AND a carrier of "The Sig-ness". The only known cure is to continue to "feed' your Sig-ness bt purchasing more Sigs.

I contracted the "Sig-ness" some 20 + years ago. A Deputy from Dade County FL turned me on to the Sig P226 9MM. I've have since own(ed) A P220, P228, P239, P2022, (2) P226 ST .40 S&W.

I once, in a fit of insanity, sold my P228 to a close friend. I bought it back years later and he had never fired it.

Caliber is really the only variation I need and for that, with the P226 anyway, I just buy the .40/.357sig and use a Bar-Sto Conversion Barrel. Mine were drop in and function flawlessly.

Just submit to the "Sig-ness' and don't look back.

Then I would have to go against the grain in here and say don't buy that other SIG and just get what you need to protect your family.

Although $650 is a good deal, $650 can go a long way for a family with 3 kids. Heck, that money right there can help fund three college accounts, an emergency fund, etc...

Seems a little high. But I'd like my next Sig to be a 229.
