Will a Glock sight pusher work on a USP9 Compact?

Hi all,

I have an HK USP9 Compact on the way and I already have Glocks (17/19) with a sight pusher. If I know it will work/fit on the USPc, I'll go ahead and order night sights (probably meprolight) - otherwise, I may be stuck buying them locally (paying +50%) in order to get an install...

Or can you tap them out and in without breaking them?

Then - I get to deal with putting night sights on my Kimber 1911... grrrr...

(Anyone know in San Diego want to swap sight pusher services? )

I've never tried that combination, but I doubt the Glock sight pusher would work on anything other than a Glock. The way it's designed and the way it secures the slide while it's used just wouldn't work with the USP. You may be able to gerryrig it to make it work, but I wouldn't think so.

My Glockmeister Glock sight pusher works also on my 1911, but never tried it on an USP. Not sure what the Glock factory sight pusher might be able to do, but on some of my other pistols I've been able to drift the rear sights, and very carefully drift the front sights out also with a punch and hammer...

Bummer! I have the MGW sight tool

The Glockmeister one seems like it might be more flexible...

I guess waiting a few more days (then +10 grrrr) won't kill me too badly - then I'll try it.

Of course in retrospect I probably should have just gotten a sight tool designed to work with any make/model (does that exist?)

But back then, I thought I'd never stray from glock land :-)

It does exist and you can find it at www.brownells.com, but be ready to pay an arm and a leg for it.

THEN, I'd get to pay an extra $60 for the Kimber adapter.

And it seems so simple (but it isn't - take my word for it, do NOT try doing it with C-clamps lol)

Generally, I like doing things myself, but I also hate having an inventory of stuff I use only once a decade - and by the time I need it I can't find it!!

I guess I will be off to get ripped off at my local discount gunmart to get "free" installation...
