Can someone clarify this for me?

So I was looking at Sig conversion kits and came across this...

now it says it's for your .22lr classic pistol but under the "choose size" it has all their other non .22 guns. Does that mean that if I buy a Sig mosquito, I need to buy the conversion kit that corresponds to the same length slide or does any conversion kit work with the Sig Mosquito?

i dont think it's for the mosquito.

the main point is the CLASSIC pistols. i didnt know sig sold the P series as a rimfire to begin with...

so if you bought a 220 in 22lr, you can buy this kit to upgrade to a centerfire...

The Sig 22 kit is very good. I have one for my P226 and it is accurate and a blast to shoot. It's a bit pricey, but if you get it used (I got mine on SigForum) it is much more reasonable.

I didn't like the Mosquito trigger pull at all, the P226 + a 22 kit is much better (my opinion, YMMV).

The kit that you linked is for one of these:

It is not designed to be put on a Mosquito. The Mosquito is a .22 and that's it. The Classic 22 models are not on the Cali "safe list" last I looked.

If you have a P220/226/228/229, you can buy the .22 conversion kit:

I'm not sure of the point of the Classic 22 models which seems to be a P-series with the .22 conversion attached instead of the centerfire slide/barrel attached. The only thing I can think of is that it's cheaper and one can add the centerfire slide/barrel later.

The point of the Classic .22lr models was to move their .22lr conversion kits. also it was a cheaper way for folks to get into the Classic P-series pistol line.

When the first came out, they included a coupon with the pistol that allowed you to get the CF upper (withih a year) at an unbelievable price. If you added the price you'd pay for the CF upper, after applying the discount, to the original purchase price of the Classic .22, you were in essence getting the .22lr conversion for free. It was so popular they they were backed up on the CF conversions for a while
