    Sig Pro 2022 Owners- Question

I've owned this Sig Pro 2022 for a few months now and love shooting it. It feeds reliable, trigger is smooth and it's accuracy is much more capable than me.

Pardon my noobiness with Sigs, as this is my first one. I will try to explain this as detailed as I can. I just noticed something with the trigger, in D/A pull, as I was dry firing today. If the D/A trigger pull is held "PRE"-trigger/sear break and slowly released back to rest, the hammer would instantly (not slowly) release back to reset. Basically, it would perform a decocking action as if the decocker was pulled.

All my other pistols, in D/A mode, would slowly return the hammer at the speed you eased the trigger back.

Any other SP2022 owners experience this? Thanks for the feedback.

sounds like it could develop into an issue. if i wiggle my trigger the hammer wiggles exactly the same. something is slipping in yours. now the decking detent should prevent the hammer from striking the pin (which would be blocked by the trigger safety anyhow) but you don't want to put it to the test. call sig.

Mine raises/lowers directly in proportion to the trigger. Let trigger out fast hammer falls fast, let it out slow hammer falls slow. Sounds like an issue.

Thanks for the feedback. The hammer block does prevent the hammer from striking the firing pin, but I wasn't sure if that was normal. I'll contact Sig.

A few months, huh? Did you get it at Turner's during one of their sales? If so, come join the Sig Pro 9mm for $399 thread and tell everyone about your problem! Heck, even if you didn't get it at Turner's, misery loves company. At least there will be a verifiable data point that it's not just the Turner's guns that were bad.
