    My first 1911.... Springfield TRP

So I finally did it! After all my research I decided on the Springfield TRP. Man I was lucky to find one, especially a Stainless Steel. For people that don't know much about the TRP. It is a production 1911 with some fitted parts. For example the frame, slide, barrel, bushing, and trigger are hand fitted.

Very nice! And very nice pics...

I shot my (A-Kote) TRP for the 1st time a couple days ago, and it's an accurate pistol. Love the thing...

    Congrats!

PS Looks like your frame/slide fit is dang near perfect! Mine has no play at all. Feels like it's on rollers too...

A fine choice in your first 1911. Stunning photography as well.

Congrats, here's to many Ks of rounds downrange.

Very nice. Mind me asking how much you paid for it? I'm thinking about one of those myself.
What do you mean my birth certificate expired?

In A-Kote, I think $1,350 is a good (online) price...the SS is usually a $100? or more higher...

          Try Buds.

Sounds good. If they will ship to Gusslers I might just buy from them.

The price was $1495. With tax, DROS, and FFL transfer fee was about $1700.

VERY, VERY nice!...I am at the 'beginning' of collecting/shooting 1911's (I am the PROUD owner/shooter of a S&W 1911 & a Colt Delta Elite 10MM) and I can tell you this: it is a serious habit, NOT UNLIKE BRD!....you have been warned!!!....oooops! it's too late, you already went and got (just) ONE.....which will multiply as your finances allow! (and even if they DON'T!!!)

Great choice! Mine shoots nice groups and the SA warranty (probably won't need it) is second to none. Use the coupon to get the 9.00 mags. They work good.
