Sounds like too much pressure. You might be able to tap it loose. Happened to a rifle of mine once. I decided not to fire those particular rounds out of it anymore.

To stick a 9mm case, the sucker must have been double charged! You be lucky.

i think that the same technique i have used for stuck cases in ar's, and squibs in revolvers would work. insert a section of steel cleaning rod in the muzzle, and whack the entire assembly on your workbench (i.e. NOT mama's fancy dining table!!) and the brass will come out. make sure to check that baby really well afterwards, for any bulging in the chamber/barrel.. you never know what could have made that empty case stick, or what could have possibly been damaged in the process... maybe take it to a smith afterwards? safety first....

ps- dont hold it by the slide, hold it by the grip! you want the slide to move. thanks gryff for jogging my memory to fix my bad explanation.

While gripping the gun with your strong hand, wrap your support/weak hand over the top of the slide and grasp hard. Then release the grip with your strong hand, draw the hand back, and then jam it hard back into the grip of the gun (effectively, what you are trying to do is hold the slide stationary while you force the frame forward).

Usually, this is enough to get the slide to free up and kick the round out.

It could be the fired case popped off the extractor during recoil and got pushed back into the chamber. You can hold the frame and push the slide against a non marring surface and push downward.

I had this happen to my Kimber tactical custom 2 a few months back. Squib round, I had to take a rubber mallet to the grip after a couple good wacs it cycled and ejected the squib round. The first time I messed up and did not charge the round with powder. The primer only had enough power to move the bullet into the rifling but not completely out of the shell casing. That is why the gun is locked up.

The round fired & sounded normal. I had this happen once before with this pistol. I reload & have for over 20 yrs. I cant move the slide more than 1/2 inch. I poured some breakfree down the barrel hoping to free that stuck piece of brass. I have no idea why the brass stuck in the chamber.

I don't know if break free would do it. Kroil might though.

Finally got the case out. Put a screwdriver down the barrel and pushed the handle of the screwdriver against a post on my patio. The bumping & pushing at the same time freed the case. I couldnt see any reason why the case would stick in the chamber but I tossed that bad boy & I will clean & lube that pistol before firing again. Thanks for the help.
