    HD loadout

Whats your guys load out for home defense? I don't mean guns in your safe... actual guns that you leave out at night for protection or that you may carry around with you during the day. I don't have a ccw permit so I only carry in my home. I never did before but since the rise of home invasions in the central valley it has caused me to be more cautious.

I have a Glock 19 in the nightstand, and a Mossberg pump by my door. That should just about cover anything trying to get it.

Sorry about that I hadn't seen it. Reason I ask is I have a mossberg 500 and a 22 jennings and a 1991a1. I'm not sure which handguns to use, since 22 is weak but small to carry at all times. The colt is powerful more confidence but to heavy maybe someone can suggest a good way to use these or how to lay them out in my home.

Get a 'behind the door' rack for the mossberg and mount it at your front door. (I'm assuming you don't have kids around the house - in which case its probably not a good idea to leave loaded guns around the house.)
This way you'll have it near you every time you answer the front door and the shotgun is generally a better HD option than a rifle/handgun.

Hey the good news is that the roommates leave me alone when I'm in my room.

I do have kids 10 and 12. I have taught them how firearms are not toys. We go shooting together once in a while. So they know about safety. I also have an alarm but it depends on what mode it's on sometimes you have a delay. And after it goes off the police have an even longer delay. I live in Fresno.
