What's the difference between a 92FS and M9A1?

I'm looking through Turner's Fall flyer and I see they have a 92FS for $599 and M9A1 for $649. Other then the accessory rail, what other features does the M9A1 have over the 92FS?

In addition to the rail, the M9A1 also has:

• "Radical" checkering of the front- & backstrap (vs the standard serrations)
• The magazine well has an "aggressive" bevel to facilitate fast tactical reloads in combat situations.
• The newest development for the M9A1 is the specially designed, sand resistant, PVD-coated magazine.
• [Not 100% sure about this one.] A deeply recessed combat muzzle crown that protects the rifling.

Turners are running low on the regular 92FS as well, yesterday they only had 3 left in stock. They are of Italian made 2009 production. I know because a friend of mine just bought one from them yesterday.

For some reason, both of my m9a1 magazines are black. It didn't come with one of those tan PVD mag.

The M9A1 goes on sale about every 2-3 months for $650 at Turners. The uppers are IDENTICAL. M9A1 has checkered grip and a rail. That's it. I handled one and was not all that wild about it. BUT, for about the same price as a 92FS, you get a rail. The grips didn't feel much different to me.

And I won't say anything about the 93FS. er the 92FS... (title boo-boo)

This is a 93R (no longer made - semi-automatic or 3 burst) It is also unobtainium

I believe that is because of California, they dont offer the newer "Sand Resistant" PVD mags in 10-rounders
