Seattle Cop rollin with a Python

A little off topic, since this was not in california, but today in seattle I saw the most BA cop of all time. He was old, like 50-60, walkin a beat, sporting a 6 inch (or at least a 6 inch holster, i guess it could have been 4" barrel, but i think it was 6"), polished stainless steel Colt Python, in a bright blond leather cross-draw holster on the front of his left hip. It totally threw me, as I have NEVER seen a seattle cop who did not have a Glock, let alone a revolver, especially in the manner he was carrying it, right up front, like he was trying to show it off. Made my day, if only I had taken a picture.
Jobs I have had, payed for by your tax dollars:
    -Sandbag-filler who carries around a 203
    -Sandbag-filler who carries around a 249
-Sandbag-filler who carries around a radio
-That guy, who when given a single, normal M4, hides in the Bradley, and sleeps.

    Python?

Or 6" stainless King Cobra? I'd think the latter would be a tad more common for duty use and in stainless.

    (If Python, coulda been nickel...)

I think the Bellehood meant 50 - 60 is old for a cop who walks the beat.

          Isn't that right, Bellehood?

Would that be legal, its a heavy hitting round if hes packing 357 magnum in it.

                          50 - 60 is old.

I know a cop in Lompoc who's been on the force for 30+ years and he carries a stainless 6" S&W wheelgun.

I can't imagine any active LEO using a crossdraw on the street these days. Showing it off like that is an invitation to a gun takeaway and has been out of most agencies policies since the 1960's.
