Building an SBR

Okay, so I have a Glock pistol and I want to put a stock on it, and I understand that single act turns the Glock into an SBR (class 3 weapon???). As a civilian living in the People's Republik of Kalifornia, are there any possibilities to legitimately get this done?

Sorry if this is a , but since the OP asked about an SBR, what is involved in obtaining the tax stamp, is it all up to the BATFE on who is approved for SBRs and SBSs or does state/local government have a say?

fill out the form, send it and the money to BATFE, takes a while (couple months) to come back, but it's a relatively painless process...it's a BATFE function, state isn't involved in getting the stamp

The state isn't involved in getting the stamp, but getting an exemption/permit for teh state SBR laws sure does involve them, and they are not shall-issue. Additionally, you need a CLEO sign-off on the SBR application, unless you make a trust.
