ive been researchin the colt double eagle and thinkin bout purchasing one if i can find one. anybody got one or got any comments bout it?

I've got one in 10mm. It was colt's version of a double action 1911. I like mine. the mags, barrel, recoil spring ,barrel bushing are regular 1911 parts. slide and grips are different. I put a match grade 40 s&w barrel and bushing on mine and it tightened up the groups nicely.Comment

I own the full size Double Eagle Mark 2 in .45acp. I added Trijicon Night Sights to it. I am very pleased. Accurate enough and no failures to date.
Another friend of mine owns one. He is an engineer/former reserve cop/gun nut and loves his to death.
What are they seling for now?
