    Just back from the painter

I just picked up my Commander I had built at Daves Metal Works. I'm not too good with the camera but here's a picture of it.

Sorry about the shop towel back round but it's all we had.

I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

Looks very nice! I like the black slide/gray frame with contrasting controls.

Very nice! What type of finish is that?

It's Cera Kote. The pistol started out life as a Colt Commander. I had a Kart NM barrel put in it, Cylinder and Slide hammer sear and disconnector, S&A funnel, Champion rear site, Trijicon front site, Ed Brown ambi safety, Kings Beavertail, grips are off a SA pistol.

30 lpi checkering and hi cut on the front strap, mainspring housing/funnel, and on the memory bump on the beavertail.

It's really tight I'm sure it won't function for a few hundred rounds.

                Thanks for the positive comments.

                      Wow that is pertty!

Thanks for sharing. I am currently trying to decide on a finish for a SS 1911, and that looks nice!
