New Ammo Law

My apologies. I know this issue has been debated here. But I have a question. I live close enough to Nevada to take a drive to a gun store for Ammo. Will Nevada stores still sell to Cal residents? Also, do you think this new law will up the price of ammo in Cal substantially? I talked to a rep at Walmart and they said they were stop selling Ammo come Feb cause they don't want to pay for all the recording equipment!

Nevada stores don't require ID to sell ammo.

Nevada stores will sell ammo to CA residents and won't even care. It would be like buying milk at a Nevada Wal Mart and bringing it back. As for the prices only time will tell but let's hope the law will be repealed before then. I've heard from other employees at Wal Mart that they will continue to sell ammo and others have said to the contrary. I don't think even they know yet.

what area WalMart are you going to. I dont shop at WalMart in my area much. They dont have much ammo... I go to Big 5, Shows or make the Trek to a Bass Pro shop or Cabella's in Reno.

But I did buy some Federal 40 SW for 13 bucks today and said, wow. This is kinda nice. The guy behind the counter said, "yeah... but its not going to last"

Remember when WalMart used to sell long guns in California? Then they ran afoul of California's idiotic gun laws and the DOJ brought the hammer down. What did WalMart do? They stopped selling guns in California. The same thing will happen with ammo.

Oh man.. I know!!! .223 Ammo is so cheap at WalMart! I am thinking about getting a Ruger Mini14 or a Rem 700 and I want to be able to get 223 at a fair price!
