    Forcing cone issue with Ruger

Just wondering if anyone have had forcing cone issue in their older Rugers, per-GP/SP series. I have a 1980's Security Six 2.5" in 357 mag that I've been shooting 38 Sp +P out of for a long time... and some 357 mag every once in a while.

Just wondering if I have to worry about sending it back to Ruger for a over-hurl or something.

It's very unlikely you will have the same problem as the S&W K frames.
On the Smiths, the lower part of the forcing cone was cutaway for cylinder crane clearance.
This left the lower arc of the cone about 1/2 as thick as it was everywhere else, reducing strength there and sometimes cracking.
The Ruger is full thickness everywhere, very unlikely you would ever have a problem with it.
I put over 30,000 rounds through my first Security Six...I still regret the day I sold it.
