    Who will reblue a revolver?

I have a Colt Detective Special in the 10 day jail right now, and it was refinished with a duracoat. I however want to have it blued again. Does anyone know who would be great to take it to in the Central Valley or LA area?

    Thanks

There are a few places that will do it in SoCal but it will cost you. The place I know of is in San Diego county and starts at a minimum of $200. You can do it yourself and it wont be too hard with something small like that.
What do you mean my birth certificate expired?

No personal experience, but I've heard good things about TJ's Custom Gunworks

I've also been dying to try Meloniting a revolver, and there is a vendor in SoCal

There are tutorials online to show you how to "rust blue" your guns at home. That is the traditional way to do it, and it produces a very deep, dark blue. Not as fast as commercial "hot blue" techniques, but will produce a better looking, more durable finish. A revolver would be easy to do, it just takes time. Be sure to polish the metal to a mirror shine before you start the bluing process if you want a really lustrous finish. Just don't use any of that cold blue crap they sell at Walmart. It rubs off like nothing, and looks worse.

Ask colt if they will do it. I know the gun you're talking about. It won't be cheap but it will be a decent job.

I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.
