    Glock Question

Can a regular person in CA get a gen 4 Glock?

Also could I take a trigger from a third gen 34 and put it in a fourth gen 22?

Why don't gun shops carry gen 4's?

    P.S. Sweet knife lol

Funny thing is, since my permanent residence is in CA I can't buy a gun in TX, even though I have a house and everything there also (changing that soon, but for other reasons). However, I can/did get a suppressor and use it in TX.... go figure.

They aren't on the California handgun roster. Our lovely state decided a long time ago that it was going to charge gun makers extortion fees and put their guns through ridiculous tests before they would allow them to be sold here.

          It's a Glock trench knife.

Check out this link on what new guns you can buy at a gun store in CA: http://www.ag.ca.gov/firearms/
Click on the "Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.

The Gen4 is not on the California Safe Handgun Roster. Therefore, the only people that can buy one in California from a dealer is a law-enforcement or peace officer.

If you find a private party in the state who has one (a LEO whose decided to sell theirs, or someone who owned one when they moved into the state), you can buy it from them if it is processed as a Face-to-Face (FTF) transaction (please yell out if you aren't familiar with the different kinds of legal transactions in the state). But if it is coming from dealer stock, or if it is being shipped (even from within the state), you cannot buy it.

Yes. The frame internals from all small-frame Glocks (9mm/40S&W/357Sig) are interchangeable for the most part.

Isn't the only thing that is not interchangeable the extractor?

California says the Glock 4th gen is unsafe. Why would you want to jeopardize everyone's lives? Only LEO's can safely use them. Now go buy something that is ok, like a Draco AK-47 pistol, or a semi-auto CA legal MAC-10 and sleep easy knowing you are helping to protect the children.

I know this has been posted a million times but I couldn't resist. One snarky post deserves another!

I am an LEO. I was told that the only 4 Gen that is MAYBE worth buying is a Glock 22. I am still not running to buy one yet. We had problems with some of them.....The VERY best Glocks we had were the Gen 2 in 9mm. The shoot great and last A LONG TIME.....

Another hint. I noticed Glocks are at their best in 9mm models.

I've been told a lot of things. Up until the age of 7 my mom told me Santa Claus was real.

Not on the list, unless LEO or will pay a higher price 250 or more from a PPT. Bunch of Bravo Sierra if you ask me.
