Help me pick my new glock

So my coupon for GSSF purchase should be here soon, and I am having a difficult time deciding which to buy. Currently my pistol arsenal consists of a Sig P229, a Kahr PM9, and a Glock 20 OD. I'm set on owning a G17 rtf as I love how they feel in my hand and I shoot them very well, but I'm contemplating using my coupon for a G34 instead. Which do you feel should come first, and why? Any recommendations on GSSF participating vendors in socal with good pricing? Does anyone know if Field Time is a participating dealer? I know I'm missing a 1911 in that list, and it is on there, I just don't want to get into another caliber at this time.

if your set on caliber and gun... then its just size... so what are you primarily going to be using it for? target? duty? carry? the bigger the more accurate. the smaller the easyer to carry

Consider a Glock 19.
It's compact yet big enough for a regular range gun. 9mm are cheap and widely avaliable. I love mine.

Go with the G17 RTF or the G19OD. The 34 will be available, the others won't be as accessible in the near future.

Does the coupon come with a list? I think some of the prices are very reasonable, but not sure if anyone will be willing to sell a gun for that price.

As of March 2010, the GSSF coupons are no longer valid.
In order to get the GSSF discount, you just have to present your valid GSSF membership card.

GSSF Pistol Purchase Program
In an effort to better serve our members, we've made some changes to our original Pistol Purchase
Program. We have greatly expanded the number of participating dealer locations and GSSF Members
may purchase one GLOCK pistol per year at a discounted price by showing a current membership
card to that dealer. NO CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED, just your membership card showing current
membership in GSSF! New pricing is also in effect. These changes should reduce the waiting periods
involved, allow better access to our participating dealers and eliminate most transfer fees while
making the entire process more convenient for our members.

Member Responsibilities
1. Member contacts GLOCK for local dealer information, then calls the dealer to be sure they are
participating in the program and that the dealer has the model they want to purchase in stock.
2. Member takes (current) membership card to dealer along with any other required documents. If
you have lost your card, you must contact GSSF to receive a replacement card. New members
will need to wait to receive new member packet with membership card.
3. Member is responsible for any taxes or fees as is required by the local, state, and federal laws.
4. Must meet all local, state and federal laws to purchase a pistol.
5. You may only purchase 1 GLOCK per year.

Depends on what you plan on using it for. If you want a gun for home defense and going to the range, G17. If you plan on a range and competition gun, G34. Either way you can't go wrong, it's a Glock

Since you have a Glock 20, a Glock 29 would be a nice addition to it. After that, I'd start with G34, G35, G26, G27, and you can take it from there

Glock 19C - No one ever mentions the compensated models.

I love them and the Glock 19 is the best Glock around when you compare mag capacity and size.

That thought crodded my mind . With the OD's going away I thought matching 10mm would be pretty sweet. I shoot my G20 way less than I used to though, because I find policing my brass to be a pain in the...... If I had my KA CCW this thought would gain carry more weight.

I feel the 10mm and my Sig in .40 both fill the need for a HD pistol, and my Kahr is great for out of state carry, as I'm not a big guy (read tall and lanky) and can't conceal much. I guess most of it's use will be at the range, I just don't like the idea of something only filling one purpose.

I had no idea the RTF's were not being renewed. That changes a ton! 17rtf FTW! I would be really bummed to find it was no longer available in a year. Is it Glock not willing to submit the pistols, or DOJ not accepting it as "approved."

Thank you for the latest on the program, and how to find a dealer. I'm still waiting on my paperwork so it is good to know what to expect.
